NeoPrimitive settlements are usually named after the spirits of places vacated during the great migrations. The acronym ’Slab’ (Second Location Ancestral Bristol) recalls that this is the second site on which the ancestral spirit of Bristol is commemorated. Residents of the first site are often mocked for the unfortunate acronym.
NeoPrimitive settlements vary greatly. Tiny nomad camps, canyon cities with cave dwellings joined by walkways and abandoned city blocks and shopping malls are all common. Scratching a living from the land is impossible work and the inhabitants are always happy to trade, especially if rare and sought-after scrap, WattCredits and FratGeld are on offer. Of course if a posse comes stomping across the NeoPrimitives’ sacred land they can expect to make enemies, a donation at the Temple of Consomar usually straitens things out.
