Chinesca Collective

The highest point of the Quarry Route, just before it dips down into The Downward Spiral, is the regular base of the Chinesca Collective, the largest Artisan Collective in the area. A few other nomadic groups make frequent visits to the waste deposits in the hope of finding treasures but the Chinesca Collective know that the richest pickings are to be had in the ruined cities which cluster either side of the Snakespine.

Artisan Collectives usually comprise of a ring of rock or metal houses around a central marketplace where the government and trade of the settlement takes place. Their livelihood depends upon through traffic and they are almost always pleased to receive guests. Large cabins are set aside for visitors and those whose business takes them in close proximity to inworld or across unexplored plains rich with scrap are especially welcomed. Sometimes mobile settlements are established, a wagon train of eclectic vehicles travelling the wastes together in search of work. The Craft Markets tend to be good value and offer good quality. They will accept all currencies and keep a watchful eye out for valuable scrap.
